It's National Sleep Awareness Week!

“Quality Sleep, Sound Mind, Happy World” is the theme of this year’s National Sleep Awareness Week, a mantra we at Serta can get behind. Elevating your sleep health helps strengthen so many areas of your life; from the obvious—waking up well-rested so you’re ready to take on the day—to the surprising—did you know that going to bed earlier can help you have fewer nightmares?

To help you learn more about the benefits of excellent sleep, we’re presenting you with some practical sleep challenges for the week. And as further incentive to focus on your sleep self-care, we’re giving away a Serta EZ Tote and our Serta Classic Bedding Bundle.

Here’s how to participate*:

To keep Sleep Awareness Week top of mind, we have a new sleep challenge for you to try each day of the coming week:

Monday 3/13 challenge: Wash your sheets. Starting the week with a clean, fresh bed is an instant mood enhancer that will help you feel good about crawling into bed at night. There have even been studies done that prove you sleep better on clean sheets for more incentive to strip your bed and do a load of laundry.

Tuesday 3/14 challenge: De-clutter your bedroom. Removing the chaos of clutter from your bedroom can assist your unconscious mind in its ability to relax. Start with the space closest to you, your nightstand, and notice if keeping it more organized helps relieve any mental stress or anxious thoughts at night.

Wednesday 3/15 challenge: Stretch before bed. Stretching and taking deep breaths is an excellent practice to incorporate into your nighttime routine that encourages relaxation and helps your mind wind down before sleeping.

Thursday 3/16 challenge: Make your bed as soon as you wake. There are lots of surprising benefits to the simple act of making your bed in the morning. In addition to starting your day off on a positive note, it lowers stress levels, increases productivity, improves your mood, and helps you sleep better.

Friday 3/17 challenge: Clear your mind. Writing down your worries from the day or what’s on your to-do list before bed helps clear and set your mind right for sleep. You can also write down good things that happened throughout your day, so your head hits the pillow in a positive place.

Saturday 3/18 challenge: Keep it cool. Sleeping in a cooler room helps you fall asleep easier, combats insomnia, and increases your ability to stay asleep, maximizing your potential to cycle through all the critical sleep phases. Lower your room temperature to 65-68 degrees to enjoy uninterrupted sleep and wake up feeling refreshed.

Sunday 3/19 challenge: Go to bed an hour earlier. You might be surprised by the multitude of impressive benefits of hitting the sack just one hour earlier. From living longer, getting sick less often, and feeling less stress, giving yourself an earlier bedtime will help you look better, be more productive, and have fewer nightmares. Early zzz’s for the win!

*NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE
WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. The Sleep Awareness Week Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) starts on March 13, 2022 at 12:00 A.M. ET and ends on March 20, 2022 at 11:59 P.M. ET (“Sweepstakes Period”).
