I based my purchase on the reputation of Serta, which has, in the past, always been positive and highly recommended!
I just sent the following expression of my dealings with Haverty’s Furniture at their website. I am not disappointed with Serta, I am disgusted with Haverty’s. “You should NOT combine purchase with delivery (in your survey)...one has nothing to do with the other. The delivery men (Jason and Lee) were very professional and showed a caring attitude...They both were respectful and courteous. I would recommend either of them. On the other hand, I have NOT been happy with my purchase and have relayed that disappointment to the sales manager (Delip) on MANY occasions. The manager was aware of my health problems (multiple sclerosis, insulin dependent diabetes, etc.) yet he recommended the iComfort (Firm) bed (which has only one alternative mattress) and did NOT tell me I could not trade up for a better mattress. I continued physical therapy but was not making any improvements due to the lack of sleep and too firm mattress conditions. I found that I have no other recourse and am stuck with a PLUSH mattress because that was the only alternative. I would not recommend Haverty’s to anyone. The lack of professionalism and HONESTY (if a sales person has been selling beds for years yet he misrepresents or doesn’t know the best mattress to recommend) has caused more problems than it was worth. The amount of money spent on an adjustable bed frame and mattress was quite expensive...I say shame on YOU for giving a false sense of knowledge to unsuspecting consumers”. I am sorry if you feel this is not the place to vent...But, I am not upset with Serta...I should have been directed towards a mattress more comfortable to my health conditions.
