What are the 5 zones in the 5 ZoneResponse^™ Design in iComfort Mattresses?

Zones 1, 3, and 5 are more plush to contour and cradle your pressure points while zones 2 and 4 are more firm to support the natural curves of your body.

What’s the benefit of zoned comfort?

5 Support Zones: Designed to keep you in natural alignment throughout the night. Providing enhanced support where the body naturally curves (lower back, upper thigh) and ensuring comfort where the body touches the mattress the most (shoulders, hips, lower legs).

Can you flip an iComfort mattress?

No, they are not intended to be flipped. These mattresses have a dedicated top and bottom so flipping them is not required or recommended.

What’s the difference between foam, innerspring, and hybrid beds?

Foam beds cradle and contour your body to relieve pressure, innerspring beds offer a more traditional “on-top-of-the-bed” feel, and hybrid beds combine both for a balance of cradling and support.

Foam: Feature layers of foam that cradle and contour your body for improved pressure relief and reduced motion transfer (ideal for those sharing a bed). Some find that foam can retain heat, that's why we add cooling gel and open-cell foams to increase breathability.

Innerspring: Offers a more traditional feel with bouncy coils and stronger edge support. These beds tend to sleep cooler than foam models, but may have increased motion transfer. That’s why we employ our Q4™ Support System with linked coils for even weight distribution and long-lasting support.

Hybrid: Combines a coil support unit with foam layers for the "best of both worlds". Rather than a quilted layer at the top on an innerspring, you lie directly on the foam layers to experience that cradling feel people love about foam. Hybrids suit a range of sleepers with a balance of responsive support and pressure relief.

What firmness should I choose for my sleeping position?

The ideal firmness depends mostly on your sleep style—while individual preferences can vary, these guidelines below can help you narrow down where to start:

Side sleepers: Consider a Medium to Plush feel because those feels generally cushion your shoulders and hips best.

Back sleepers: You need balanced support, so you should consider a Medium to Firm feel.

Stomach sleeper: You should consider a Firm bed because it can help keep your spine aligned better throughout the night; plusher ones can cause back strain for stomach sleepers.

Combination sleepers (changing positions throughout the night): Look into a Medium-Firm feel to support you as you move from position to position.

What are the differences in sizes?

Size & Dimensions:

· Standard Twin: 39″ x 75″

· Twin XL: 39″ x 80″

· Full (Double): Approx 54″ x 75″

· Queen: Approx 60″ x 80″

· King: 76” x 80”

· California King: 74” x 84”

Twin XLs are the same length as a Queen or King beds. Twin XLs are common in college dorms and can also be used in pairs to make a Split King bed.

For two adults sharing a bed, a Full only gives about 27” per person, while a Queen offers more legroom and about 30″ of width per person. It might not seem like much, but many couples appreciate this extra personal space. However, if you are a single sleeper or tight on space, a Full might be the right choice for you.

Do you ship internationally?

Directly on our website, we only ship within the United States, to the lower 48 states. At this time we do not offer shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.

Do you offer financing?

Financing is available directly through our website. We have partnered with Affirm to offer financing or pay-over-time options for our customers. At checkout, you will be given the option to pay through Affirm. If approved, you will be given loan options for 3, 6, or 12 months. All interest is provided up front, there are no hidden fees, and only a soft credit check is done through Affirm's system for approval. After you've confirmed your choice, you will be redirected back to our website to complete checkout.

Affirm only requests a soft credit check for approval, so the credit inquiry won’t affect your credit score. Once you've selected your financing term, you will be redirected back to the website to complete your purchase.

For returns and cancellations, refunds will be processed through Affirm and posted to your Affirm account. Refunds will be processed within 3-10 business days. Keep in mind the interest charge will not be refunded.

Please note that financing through Affirm is not available in West Virginia and Iowa.

What is the difference between ordering online from Serta.com and another retailer?

When you place an order through Serta.com, you are backed by the 120-Day In-Home Trial. We know ordering a mattress online can be intimidating, so we want to take the risk out of it for you with the in-home trial that allows the perfect amount of time to test the mattress and accessories in your home and make sure it's right for you. If you decide it is not the right fit, we make returns easy and free.

Serta products are sold at many different retailers through the United States. Our goal is to be able to serve our sleepers where they feel the most confident purchasing their Serta products. Many retailers will have products on display for sleepers to test out before making your decision, and may offer different pricing or promotional advantages for buying directly through a retailer. Retailers may also have different models than what you see directly on the website.

Do you make custom sizes?

We are unable to provide custom sizes at this time. For now, we carry industry standard sizes of twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, and California king.

What is Serta’s 100-Night Sleep Trial and return policy?

Serta wants you to love your new mattress, so every one purchased on Serta.com comes with a 100-Night Sleep Trial. This means you can sleep on it at home for up to 100 nights to make sure it’s the right fit.

Does Serta offer free White Glove delivery and mattress haul-away?

Yes, currently Serta offers Free White Glove Delivery on all of our traditional mattresses, while our mattresses-in-a-box are shipped conveniently in a box to your door step. When you order a mattress (or an adjustable base/foundation) on Serta.com, White Glove Delivery plus Haul-Away is included at no extra charge. This premium service means a delivery team will schedule a delivery, bring the bed into your room of choice, set it up, and remove all packaging materials. They will also haul away your old one and box spring for free (as long as they’re in sanitary condition). Note that for smaller items shipped via FedEx (like mattresses-in-a-box or accessories) and in-home setup is not applicable.
