We’re back with more helpful tips. Because when it comes to sleep, there’s no such thing as too comfortable.
Here are some more tips on how to get the best sleep ever:
Get to know yourself.
Save your favorite food, movie and color for your Bumble profile. Figure out your favorite sleep position, for you. It’ll come in handy when you’re shopping for a new mattress.
Get your workout in.
Sure, washboard abs are nice and all.* But do you think Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson would’ve gotten far without getting enough rest? Okay…maybe. Our point is, vigorous exercise can do more than keep you lookin’ good. It also helps immensely when it comes to getting your best sleep ever. That’s because it helps reduce anxiety and symptoms of depression.
Read a book before bed.
Reading a book before bed will help you destress and relax. Unless it’s The Shining. You’ll want to read that one in broad daylight.
Cut back on the alcohol.
This isn’t college anymore. This is real life. And it comes with sleep apnea and snoring. Sure, alcohol will knock you out quickly, but then it’ll keep you going in and out of sleep throughout the night.
Cozy up with a heavy blanket.
Remember when you were an infant? Remember how good it felt to be swaddled? You probably don’t. But your body does. And wrapping yourself up in a heavy blanket will give you that sense of comfort again.
Eat cherries before bed.
Cherries naturally contain high levels of melatonin. And melatonin helps you doze off and get to your REM sleep cycle much quicker. Get to sleep faster, get more sleep. Seems like a no-brainer.
